Are you trying to spin a single item or a small load? This will upset the out-of-balance sensor and can lead to over-vibration, stress on the drum and damage to the exterior if it’s bouncing about too much. Add another item, this will balance the load and should resolve the problem.
Are you overloading the machine? If the wet load is too heavy, the drum won’t be able to spin. Adjust your load and try again.
Is the pump clear? If the washing machine can’t drain properly, it won’t be able to spin. Check the fluff filter if you have one or check the pump (at the bottom of the washing machine, generally at the front).
